Sample projects:

Renewable Energy Audits and Feasibility Studies (various)

Providing project development, feasibility, procurement and pre-installation support for public and private sector clients (schools, farms, industrial buildings, domestic) wishing to install solar pv, solar thermal, heat source pumps, biomass, hydro-electric and small scale wind systems – Case studies on request

Small scale hydro-electric scheme

Carried out feasibility study for private water mill owner in Warwickshire including technical and environmental assessment, and the options of turbine and water heat source pump.Private client January 2011

Solar photovoltaic installation

Leading the project development and procurement for the installation of a 6kWp solar energy installation at a local secondary school in South Warwickshire. Alcester Grammar School Feb 2011

Renewable Energy for Farmers and Landowners

On-farm assessments and business plans for farmers and landowners wishing to establish renewable energy systems on the farm - ongoing

Environmental Supply Chain
UK co-partners for the EU-wide Green Ventures Programme, designed to bring together SMEs across Europe looking for business or project partners within the environmental and renewable energy technology sectors. Green Ventures - Potsdam, Berlin, Germany - 2008 , 2009, 2010, 2011. Greenwatt Technology with EuroPartnerships Ltd and IHK Berlin – annually

Sustainable Environments
Developed a strategy for the dissemination of research for the Sustainable Urban Environment team at Birmingham University. Understanding the processes by which sustainable regeneration is achieved and the methods used to disseminate the lessons learnt ensures that sustainable urban development is included in future project planning processes.

Birmingham University 2008

Waste-to-Energy
Prepared Briefing Report to introduce the potential for a gasification plant in Warwickshire with capacity to treat and convert domestic and industrial organic waste into energy (biogas and biofuel).

Warwickshire Climate Change Partnership / Warwickshire County Council - February 2008

Biomethane for Transport
Co-organiser of a workshop designed to raise awareness and encourage consideration of bio-methane as a source of transport fuel (compressed gas) for public transport and fleet transport. Project brings together experts in anaerobic digestion, bio-methane transportation landfill methane collectors and uses case studies to demonstrate ‘the art of the possible’

Greenwatt Technology in partnership with University of Birmingham (Science City Energy Challenge) October 2008

Synthetic Fuel
EU-wide scoping study mapping the supply of organic waste from urban sources, the technical process of treatment and conversion into synthetic fuels (gas and liquid) and the current and potential market for synfuels. Identification of the barriers (legal, technical and financial) to the development of the technologies. Preparation of guidelines to develop synthetic fuel from organic urban waste.

Members of EU-wide consortium led by AETS (France) with project submission under the EU Framework 7 / Intelligent Energy Europe  October 2008
